Join Jeremy (the Skeptic Pastor) for a weekend of spiritual reflection, honest conversation, and shared practice. Rather than offering answers or doctrines, this weekend creates space to explore spirituality with curiosity, integrity, and care, alongside others walking a similar path.

This retreat approaches spirituality as something to be explored, lived, and practiced, not defended or explained. It invites attentiveness and reflection around what feels alive, unresolved, or in the process of changing.

Jeremy will be present throughout the weekend as a facilitator of spiritual conversation and communal reflection. Drawing on his background in pastoral care and spiritual direction, he helps hold a space where people can explore meaning without being steered toward conclusions.

How the Retreat Feels and Works

Time together includes shared meals, group conversations, smaller reflective circles, and simple spiritual practices that are invitational rather than prescriptive. Participation is always optional, and listening is valued as much as speaking.

What This Weekend Includes

This retreat offers a small number of intentional experiences designed to support spiritual honesty, integration, and rest, shaped by the tone and practices familiar to this community.

  • Free Copy of Jeremy’s Latest book: Rituals for Heretics, Atheists, and People Who Aren’t Sure about God.

  • Guided rituals for releasing guilt and shame, offering gentle, embodied ways to let go of inherited religious residue without requiring belief statements or emotional performance.

  • Exploring new tools for engaging ancient texts like the Bible, learning approaches that emphasize context, curiosity, and wisdom rather than control or certainty.

  • Optional one-on-one pastoral conversations with Jeremy, providing space for personal reflection, discernment, or naming what feels unresolved, without pressure to fix or decide anything.

  • Unstructured time to rest, breathe, and reflect, recognizing that spiritual insight often emerges in spaciousness rather than activity.

  • Meaningful connection with others on a similar spiritual path, through shared meals, conversations, and presence with people who already understand the terrain.

What Participants Often Find Meaningful

Many participants value having a spiritual space where they don’t need to translate themselves or defend their questions. The group already understands the complexity of faith transitions.

What This Retreat Is (and Is Not)

This retreat is intentionally designed to be clear about what it offers and what it doesn’t, so participants can arrive without pressure or mixed expectations.

This retreat is:

  • A spiritually grounded space for honest reflection and integration.

  • Small, relational, and centered on shared presence rather than performance.

  • Shaped by curiosity, care, and respect for where each person is.

  • A conference, workshop, or teaching-heavy event.

  • A space pushing a specific belief system or outcome.

  • A promise of transformation, clarity, or resolution by the end.

A Small Retreat

The small size of this retreat is intentional. With 10–15 people, there’s room for depth, follow-up, and genuine relationship with both the group and Jeremy, without the pressure or distance that comes with larger gatherings.
